One DEWDROPZ account covers the shop and TrekBuddy. You can leave TrekBuddy on its own, or delete the whole account. On the website nothing is removed for 7 days: we email you when you ask, again the day before, and once it is done. Sign in during those days and you can keep it. In the DEWDROPZ app, Delete account works straight away, once you confirm.
Leave TrekBuddy, keep the shop account

What goes
- Your TrekBuddy profile, photo and details
- Trips you posted that have not happened yet. Everyone going is told
- Your place on trips you joined that have not happened yet
- What you wrote in chats and messages, your trip reports, and recommendations about you
- Photos you uploaded to TrekBuddy
What stays
- Your DEWDROPZ shop account, exactly as it is — orders, addresses, designs and wishlist
- Safety reports made by you or about you. Our moderators keep them, so leaving is not a way round a ban
- You can join TrekBuddy again at any time, as a new member
Delete your DEWDROPZ account
Where: Account → Details & password → Delete your account. In the DEWDROPZ app: Settings → Delete account
What goes
- Your account, sign-in, name, phone and photo
- Your addresses, bag and saved designs. A design on a past order keeps its order line, without the artwork
- Your TrekBuddy profile, trips, messages and photos
- Your order history — you will no longer be able to see it
- Newsletters, messages you sent us through the contact form, and every other email from us
What stays
- Invoices and order records the law requires a shop to keep for six years (GST). They are kept without a login and are not used for anything else.
What other people keep
The same either way. Your things go, other people’s things stay, and what you did together stays without your name.
- Trips you hosted that already happened stay for the people who went, hosted by "a former member", without your words or photos
- A trip you went on still counts you, so "6 went" stays 6, but your name comes off the list
- Recommendations you wrote for other people stay, signed by nobody
- Group chats keep their shape. Your messages show as removed
- People you messaged keep their side of the conversation. Yours is removed, and nobody can reply
Good to know
- An account cannot be deleted while an order is on its way or a return is waiting for its refund — we need to be able to reach you to finish it. Once it is done, you can delete straight away.
- If you host TrekBuddy trips, they are called off when you ask to leave, and everyone going is told, so nobody turns up to a trip without a host. Coming back restores your profile, not the trips.
- Shops in India must keep invoices and order records for six years under GST law. They are kept without your login and are not used for anything else.
